# How do I cancel or delete a live auction?

###### Deleting an auction while live will alert any registered buyers that the auction was deleted. You can send a custom message with that alert upon deletion. Try to avoid this scenario by double checking your auction before listing as it could cause frustration for potential buyers. 
To delete a live auction:

* Navigate to the **Auction Section** via the top navbar
* Find the auction you want to delete and select **View Details**
* At the top of the page, click the Delete Auction button
* A warning will appear as mentioned above that will allow you write a custom message to share to any registered buyers
* Click delete auction

###### Your auction will now be deleted and all listings will be removed from the platform.
