# How to Add an A Record to Your GoDaddy Domain

### **How to Add an A Record to Your GoDaddy Domain**


Follow these steps to add your A record:
1. **Login to GoDaddy**
Go to[ GoDaddy.com](https://www.godaddy.com/) and log in to your account.

2. **Navigate to My Products**
After logging in, click on **"My Products"** from your account menu.

** This page will list all the domains associated with your account.**

1. **Access Domain DNS Settings**
Find the domain you want to configure and click the **"DNS"** button next to it.
This will take you to the DNS Management page where you can see all existing DNS records.

* **Check Existing A Records**
* Look through the list for any existing **A Records**.
* If an A record already exists, **delete** it before adding a new one.

* **Add a New A Record**
* Click **"Add New Record"**.

* In the form that appears:
    * **Type:** Select **A**.

    * **Name:** Enter **@**.

    * **Value:** Get the IP address from[ sell.vendidit.com/domain](https://sell.vendidit.com/domain).

    * **TTL:** From the dropdown, choose **Custom**, and set it to **6000** seconds.

* Save the record.

**Important Note**
Domain propagation can take **up to 48 hours**. Please be patient while your changes take effect globally.
