# What is Popcorn Bidding?

## Popcorn bidding increases the remaining time of an item when bids are placed near the close time.

This feature is always enabled on our platform.

Buyers are ensured fairness and opportunity by not having to worry about their items being sniped from them at the last seconds of an auction.
Sellers benefit from buyers having more of an opportunity to compete at the last minute, driving up bids and selling price.
