The Contacts sections is where you manage all your contacts. It is automatically populated from users who register for your auctions, but you can add contacts manually as well.

Adding Contacts

Click the add contacts button shows the dropdown menu to begin adding. Single Contact allows you to add a contact with full details, including first and last names, email, company name, phone, and any tags. Multiple Contacts allows you to add contacts by email, using commas to separate each email. Great if you have a list of emails you'd like to add. You can customize the contact details later. Import Contacts is the best option if you want to add your customers and have all their information. It functions like bulk uploading items, where you use a CSV or XLSX file to add them. Download our templates to help manage the process. You can also filter contacts by whether they have created an account, been invited, no account, or locked.

After creating your account, you'll be taken to the all auctions page under the auctions section. Initially it will be empty; as you create auctions, you will see all your auctions listed here. Example:

On this page, you can create a new auction, view your auctions (upcoming, live, and past), export a list of auctions, and view detailed information about each auction. At the top, you can filter your auctions by Status, Bid Type, and Auction Type.

Auctions: Size and Length Matters

Rule of Thumb for Auction Length

It’s recommended to run your auctions for 7 days and having it end on a Sunday evening. This covers an entire week and most buyers will be at home Sunday night and have more free time to participate during the final bidding hours. This also gives the chance for buyers to shop the auction on Saturday if they were to busy throughout the week to browse listings. If an auction ends on a day other than Sunday, having it end in the evening is still best. This considers the folks working 9-5, giving them time to return home and bid at the tail end of the auction.

Long Auctions Increase Visibility

Auctions that are on the platform longer have a chance of getting more customer views, resulting in more bids. If you launch an auction for 2 days length, it may not receive many bids depending on how active buyers are at that time.

High Demand Could Call for Shorter Auctions

If items you list are constantly hitting the price threshold, it shows your auctions are getting a bunch of attention and you may want to consider shortening your auctions. This is a rare case where shortening your auctions could increase your rate of selling without sacrificing your revenue.

Steps to Bid

Create Account: required before they're able to register or place bids.
Browse: Buyers can browse individual listings, auctions, or sellers.
Wishlisting and Following Sellers: individual items can be wishlisted for buyers to keep track of, and sellers can be followed to stay up to date on new auctions.
Register for Auction: once an item is found, buyers must register for the auction it's contained in (and receive approval if it's required by the seller).
Bid: buyers are now able to place bids on items within auctions they've registered for. Additionally, our platform enables proxy bidding, where buyers are able to place bids higher than required. If they are outbid, additional bids will automatically be placed for them until they reach the amount they set their bid at.

Pickup and Shipping

Default Fulfillment Settings

Our platform is setup to handle Pickup and Shipping. Depending on how your business operates, you can customize your default method of fulfillment in your Fulfillment Settings. Pickup Only is useful if you only deal locally and never ships products. Shipping Only is useful if you only ship or don't have a storefront or receiving area. Pickup and Shipping is great if you do both. You can still set items to be pickup or shipping only. Adjusting these settings in your global settings will ensure all auctions made are aligned with the fulfillment method of your business.

Handling Pickup and Shipping Post Auction

Once your auctions are closed and payments are made, users will start to populate in the Shipping Section of our platform. Within this section, you can switch between shipping and pickup with the top right blue button.

From this area, you can view all your incoming shipping requests. As you progress through the shipping stages, you can change the current status of a specific customer by clicking the dots on the right of the column. You can select between Shipment Requested, Shipped, and Delivered.

Bulk Listing

The first step to setting up your bulk upload spreadsheet is to download out CSV template. The download link can be found on the bulk upload menu when listing items. Here's what the template looks like with some example items:

The column headers represent the category you are filling out for your item. Each row below represents an item you are listing.

Listing Title and Description

These columns will describe your item. The listing title will show up on the listing cards when browsers view your listings. The description will show up on the item's listing page on the buyer portal. It can be difficult to have multiple paragraphs when typing into the CSV document. The easiest way to work with paragraphs and line breaks on the CSV is to copy/paste an already typed description into the cell. This will preserve any paragraph style formatting while uploading the CSV.

Minimum Bid

This will be your starting bid for the item. If you want to make the starting bid 10% of retail value and are using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, you could easily create a function in the minimumbid column that will multiply the value in the retailprice column by a percent to populate the starting bid.
