Marketplace Tutorials – Buy Now on Open Auctions

Overview

Buy Now feature is now available for sellers and buyers of Vendidit Marketplace as an additional means to purchase listings instantly on open bid auctions:

·      Buy Now is available for Open Bid auctions. To enable buy now for an open bid auction, sellers will need to click on the toggle option below “Bidding Type” to make an auction Buy Now Enabled.

·      Sellers need to setup their Stripe account under Vendidit and use it as the payment method on their account. Without Stripe connection, Buy Now feature cannot be currently used.

Listing Create and Edit

The Buy Now Price field appears on listing creation and update pop up box when Buy Now has been enabled for an auction.

·      The Buy Now Price must be greater than “Opening Bid” and “Reserve Price” values.

Auction Details Sub-Dashboard

For every auction, details about Buy Now usage per listing can be found on their respective sub-dashboards.

·      Buy Now price, as set by lister, is visible alongside Mininum Bid amount and Reserve Price (if any)

·      Information related buyer activity, including all bids and buy now purchase, is also available.

·      Hovering the “Purchased via Buy Now” amount displays the contact information of buyer

·      After a buyer purchases an item through buy now, sellers can click on Order button to start processing the order.

Buyer Journey

Listing Details, Auction Details, Home and All Listings Pages

To allow buyers to purchase via Buy Now feature, both listing cards and listing details page have the buy now feature available to be utilized. So, Buy Now can be used directly on Home page, Auction Details Page, All Listings page, and Listing Details Page.

·      Buyers need to be registered for the auctions to purchase listings of that auction via Buy Now feature.

·      Buy now feature is removed for a listing once the current bid for that listing reaches the Buy Now price. This is to allow competitive bidding to sustain for a listing.

Using “Buy Now”

·      Click on “Buy Now”

·      Click on “Pay Now”

·      Choose your receiving method after considering the provided options and then click on “Pay Now” again:

·      Enter your Debit/Credit Card or Google Pay credentials on our secured Stripe payment gateway and confirm payment by clicking on “Pay <amount>” button
